Drawing on their expertise in residential projects, the architects sought to infuse the apartment with the inviting ambiance typically found in houses: spacious yet intimate, welcoming, and family-centric.
Seamless Integration of Spaces
The apartment’s living, dining, and home theater areas, originally delineated by partitions, are seamlessly united by the continuity of design elements. A European oak slatted ceiling and Limestone Baiteg Blue flooring cascade throughout these social spaces, creating a sense of expansiveness and cohesion. This aesthetic extends into the kitchen, private circulation areas, suites, and the master bath, fostering a harmonious flow throughout the residence.
Versatile Design Solutions
Versatility is paramount in the MER Apartment, with large panels providing flexibility in space utilization. These panels, discreetly concealed when not in use, afford privacy and autonomy within the open layout. Additionally, movable “brises” adorn the verandah and window frames, offering both light filtration and visual seclusion from neighboring structures.
Blurring Boundaries: Indoor-Outdoor Connection
Echoing the tropical allure of São Paulo, lush vegetation adorns the apartment’s balconies, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. These verdant planters serve as natural partitions, enhancing privacy while infusing the living environment with a vibrant green backdrop.

Symmetrically arranged volumes, adorned with white lacquer panels, showcase the clients’ cherished artworks and furnishings, including pieces by renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer. Signature Furniture Collection: Papir Line

As the office’s inaugural furniture collection, Papir embodies the ethos and aesthetic language of the architecture.
