In alignment with the brand’s ethos of “FAST FOOD BURGERS. SLOW FOOD VALUES,” Betwin Space Design embarked on a mission to create a dining space that embodies the essence of ‘Hyper Slow.’ Nestled in the bustling heart of Gangnam, Super Duper Burgers Gangnam seeks to offer patrons a reprieve from the fast-paced city life of Seoul, allowing them to savor their dining experience at a leisurely pace. Drawing inspiration from San Francisco’s laid-back lifestyle, the design team aimed to infuse the space with a blend of retro-futuristic elements, creating an ambiance that marries sophistication with nostalgia.
Aesthetic and Spatial Composition
The exterior facade, adorned with the brand’s slogan, sets the stage for an immersive dining experience. Upon entering, patrons are greeted by an orange-hued ambiance reminiscent of San Francisco’s vibrant sunsets, setting the tone for the culinary journey ahead. The first and second floors offer contrasting spatial sensations, with the former exuding a futuristic vibe and the latter embracing warmth and comfort. Illuminated by dynamic lighting that evolves with the changing seasons, the space seamlessly integrates contrasting elements such as natural materials and high-tech finishes, reflecting the harmony between tradition and innovation.
Post-COVID Gourmet Experience
In response to the evolving landscape of dining post-COVID-19, the design team prioritized cleanliness and comfort, ensuring that patrons can enjoy their meals in a safe and hygienic environment. Utilizing wood accents and warm tones, reminiscent of San Francisco’s cozy atmosphere, the space exudes a sense of familiarity and tranquility. Transitioning from the futuristic ambiance of the first floor to the retro-inspired motif of the second floor, patrons are invited to embark on a sensory journey that culminates in a moment of relaxation and indulgence.
